DSEI is firmly established as the leading international defence exhibition in the UK and Japan. With the introduction of DSEI Germany, the portfolio will be expanded to include a European edition. The first event will take place from 9 to 12 March 2027 at the Hannover Messe, one of the largest and most modern venues in the world.
DSEI Germany is aimed at a high-ranking international audience, including over 1,600 exhibitors, government delegations, national pavilions and companies from the classic and non-traditional defence and security technology sectors.
Your tasks
- Sales and customer management:
You will actively acquire new customers from the defence, security and aerospace industries and manage a defined portfolio of existing customers along the entire customer journey – with the aim of long-term partnerships. - Marketing of exhibitor space and sponsorship packages:
You will be responsible for the targeted marketing of stand space, brand activation and sponsorship offers in your customer segments – from the initial approach to the conclusion of the contract. - Development of sales initiatives:
In close cooperation with the team, you will develop thematic special areas and sales initiatives to strengthen selected product segments. - Market and competition analysis:
You observe relevant markets and analyse potential in order to identify trends at an early stage and develop innovative offers. - Strategy & lead generation:
Together with the marketing team, you design effective measures for lead generation and actively contribute to the implementation of sales campaigns. - Internal collaboration:
You will work closely with the content, marketing, sponsoring and operations departments to ensure a strong trade fair experience for your customers. - Reporting and presentation:
You will create compelling reports, market analyses and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
Your profile
- Degree in business administration, international business, marketing or a comparable qualification.
- Several years of experience in international sales, ideally in the trade fair, aviation, defence or security industry.
- Success in acquiring and supporting B2B customers, particularly in the high-tech or defence environment.
- Strong closing skills, initiative and negotiating skills.
- Strategic and entrepreneurial thinking and organisational skills.
- Very good communication skills in German and English.
- Confident handling of CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce) and MS Office.
- Team player with a high level of customer orientation, quality awareness and enthusiasm for technical and digital topics.
